I’m Kaushik Agarwal—a Chartered Accountant who refuses to think like one. After auditing private equity at Deloitte USI and KPMG KRC, I now drive FP&A and Business Operations.
It was not a glamorous start. Having grown up in a small town in Bengal with limited resources but full support of my family. I shifted to Kolkata to study Chartered Accountancy. I was elected Treasurer during my stay as a Student Council Member of ICAI and also completed my articleship from a Med size firm, getting hands-on industry experience.
It all began one unassuming Saturday, when I started giving free weekend advice to fresh CA qualifiers—mock interviews, salary negotiation tips, job-hunting strategies, career-path clarity. The encouragement we received was overwhelming.
As word spread, those Saturday sessions turned into podcasts, YouTube videos, live meetups and a robust network of over 1,000 young CAs seeking mentorship. That’s when I realized this movement needed a name—Guidance Adda.
My path to this moment has always been defined by restlessness and drive. I graduated first-class (Hons) in B.Com from the University of Calcutta, cleared the CS Foundation, and even tackled the UPSC Prelims, but I’m restless by nature. I taught CA Intermediate subjects at Physicswallah, then founded Guidance Adda to mentor tomorrow’s CAs with practical, career-focused coaching.
As Treasurer of EICASA-ICAI, I managed a ₹50 Lakh fund and an international conference—experience that taught me finance is as much about people as numbers. I later served on the Indian Accounting Association and led my Eastern Premier League cricket team to victory in 2022.
Guided by purpose, driven by impact—I’m on a mission to bridge the gap between theory and practice, empowering CAs to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
Today, our mission is clear: to empower CAs—students and freshers alike—to get the mentorship we never had. We’re now growing with new podcasts, interview prep books, and additional resources so that each CA enters their career with confidence, clarity, and control of their professional future.
